Just some food for thought from a leader of a para-militant organization that provides emergency care and public service in the United States.
Maybe the mods couldn't maintain span of control for effective leadership and coordination. 1 person can handle an average of 5 people 7 maximum effectively. When 20+ Thousand people of various ages and backgrounds post topics and conduct dialog in an otherwise open forum things can get chaotic especially when people are getting slammed or keyboard commanded by powers that be that have little to no real life experience. Imagine a teacher trying to manage 60 children instead of a class with 20 children or one ATC at KLAX during the day. No one is perfect and we learn from life experiences but not everyone is built to lead others after given power to control, assist and mitigate problems.
