Welcome to Porter.”

Visit our website!

Our website is the main place to find all of the information that you need on us, as well as the place for our pilots to log flights, learn things, see their pilot roster and progress, choose their flights, etc. Make sure to check it out if you feel interested! Our staff team has spent a lot of effort on making sure this website is fully up to date. There may be missing features, but this is due to us constantly adding new things to the website!

Features worth checking out

Detailed flight schedules

Our flight schedules page offers highly detailed flight information. Each and every single route will have its own pre made FPL ready for Infinite Flight, directly sourced from the real life flight itself. NOTAMs are also available, as well as procedures, cruise altitude, times, etc. This is where our pilots will pick a route to fly.

Unique pilot roster

Our pilot roster is indeed one of the more unique ones found in a Virtual Airline. Featuring pilot badges and awards displayed right next to a pilot’s personal data. You’ll have to see for yourself to find out more.

Training centre

Porter Virtual aims to be highly realistic. To do so, we have to have accurate fleet information, flying procedures, data and so on. All this is available in our exclusive Training centre area, crafted by the one and only @Aquila! Come here to learn more about Porter operations and how everything works.

Special offers

Our VA has plenty of special offers available for our pilots to make their experience here unique and fun. Offers such as the Friday Frenzy, Photo Pro are all examples of a way to get our pilots to indulge in more activities and enjoy Porter more.

About us

Our VA.

Porter Virtual is an Infinite Flight VA based on Porter Airlines, a small Canadian regional airline operating in Eastern Canada and the Eastern U.S. We base our destinations and routes on what Porter uses in REAL LIFE as we aim for maximum realism.

Our mission.

Our mission here is simple. To be the virtual airline everybody looks up to and gets inspiration from. We want to offer our pilots the best, and only the best. We want to offer a caring community, a unique and enjoyable experience. An experience that no other VA can get you.

Our promise.

We promise an absolutely dedicated and professional environment here at Porter Virtual. We provide the one of the most realistic VA operations there could be, ranging from real world Dash-8-Q400 data, SOPs, cruise tables, airport diagrams. You name it, they’re all there.

All of us here will stick together through difficult times, and giving up will never be an option. We do not discriminate people because of their race, culture, religion, etc. Our community encourages diversity in our pilots, and our community creates bonds between our pilots.

Why us?

After all, it’s time to put your flying hours to use. In short, Porter Virtual guarantees a professional and realistic environment, an awesome, friendly community and offers that other VA pilots will never experience. With a fleet so small yet so familiar, every airman here will end up knowing how to fly the Dash by heart. Join Porter Virtual, be a pro pilot.

We’re not restricted to just Canada and the U.S anymore…we can now truly explore the world. All partner VAs are based on Porter’s real life counterparts, but not in any way affiliated with them.

Welcome to our brand new thread.

It’s been almost 2 months since we opened. Our original thread has been there ever since, but we needed to make a brand new, fresher one. So this is what we’ve come up with. Enjoy.

  • You may crop the images and can edit them anyway you’d like

Welcome, realism.

Over the last few days, Project “up” has seen a great change in all Porter Virtual operations. In our training centre, we’ve introduced Q400 quick references, TO/LDG tables and provided some extra useful links. We have also integrated these into our flight schedule pages, so it’s much easier to access them rather then go to the training centre. This is the first step of many in our journey to becoming the most realistic VA on this community.

Tempted to join? Don’t hesitate to check our main post and visit our website. As always, special thanks to @Aquila for crafting these amazing TO/LDG tables and more.

Let’s welcome our newest pilot, @Tom_Smith to the team!!

And we have a winner!

Still remember our Photo Pro competition from a few days ago? After a total of 6 submissions, only one pilot’s picture would come out on top. Congratulations to @Jacob_Sim for winning Photo Pro! Everybody else’s pictures were just as great, but there could only ever be one winner.

Also, please give @Aquila a warm welcome to our Administration team! He is now our brand new Chief Pilot, shaping Porter Virtual for the better whenever he is on.

Each and every month, we focus on improving our VA in every single aspect possible. To do so, we have to add new stuff to our community every day. For everybody to keep up, we’ve made a list of this month’s (April) biggest updates to Porter Virtual:

  • Added ALL flight schedules
  • Added airport diagrams, LDG/TO tables and checklists to ALL flight schedules
  • Changed ‘Admin’ award background image
  • Tidied up Instagram and Discord
  • Added bigger titles next to images
  • Fixed website inconsistencies

Let’s showcase some awards.

If anybody has ever been to our pilot awards page, you would know what we offer to our dedicated and hardworking pilots. But yesterday, we’ve just introduced our 2 ultimate awards - with ridiculously hard requirements. It’s possible, but only the best of pilots will be able to earn this on their plots roster. Will you be one of them?

Our Pilot of the Month!

Becoming a Pilot of the Month in a VA is not an easy task. It requires dedication, contribution, activity, as well as having a good and professional attitude along with respect to all members. We’ve been operating for just about 2 months now, and we have had many dedicated and outstanding pilots. But only one of them was the best.

Congratulations to @Ryan2 on being crowned Pilot of the Month! His hard work has finally paid off after helping out with all our FPLs, VA suggestions, flight data and even logging over 100 hours! From all of us here at Porter Virtual, we hope you like your new award.

Friday Frenzy is today!

It’s a once in a week chance for our pilots to shine! Every Friday, Porter Virtual pilots who log a flight will get 3 times (3x) the amount of flight time they’ve flown. So, if you decide to fly from Ottawa - Orlando-Melbourne that day, you may be gaining an additional 9 hours to your pilot roster. Normal flight logging processes are still required.

NOTAM: Pilots cannot earn any awards with Friday Frenzy flights. Friday Frenzy flights ONLY count when flying for Porter Virtual.

Our new website theme.

Yay, we have a new website theme now! We at Porter Virtual believed the old one was getting…kind of old, so we’ve decided to completely change our website format and theme. This means we now have way better drop down menus, better and clearer text and cooler looking buttons. For some of us, it may take a while to get used to it, but it really will enhance any user’s experience.
