Last day of the year, and here goes my last logbook post of 2017. It’s amazing that after so many flights I haven’t ran out of flights I want to do. The world is a huge place.
Denpasar (WADD) - Melbourne (YMML)
A 5 hour flight that crosses the bright red desert of central Australia. Very recommended.
Edmonton (CYEG) - Vancouver (CYVR) - Calgary (CYYC)
A two leg flight that crosses the beautiful mountains twice. Both legs are about an hour long, with great scenery and airports you might not visit often.
Mexico City (MMMX) - Santiago (SCEL)
A 7 and a half hour flight to the Chilean capital. Not with a great variety of scenery, but it’s a good flight too takeoff in the morning and land in the evening, with an approach into Santiago that is not at all stressful.
Krakow (EPKK) - Frankfurt (EDDF)
Ryanair operates this flight daily. A beautiful departure from Poland and decent into Frankfurt an hour later. A wonderful aircraft, and the ambient of FNF made it a great experience. Recommended.
Doha (OTHH) - Mumbai (VABB)
A flight with my buddy @Aniflex02. Two and a half hours of desert, sea, ocean and Indian coast, with a foggy approach into Mumbai. I do recommend it.
Copenhagen (EKCH) - London (EGLL)
A retro flight on the SAS B747-200. Not even 90 minutes long, and a great busy approach to Heathrow. Great flight.
Entebbe (HUEN) - Addis Ababa (HABB)
A 1:30 minute flight on the DC-10, using Ugandan carrier DAS Cargo’s livery. Ethiopia is beautiful, I recommend everyone try it out. The approach to Addis Ababa is fenomenal, everyone should try it.
Muscat (OOMS) - Jeddah (OEJN)
2 hours and 45 minutes across the Arabian desert. The departure from Muscat is quite nice, though the airport isn’t edited. Unless you’re expecting ATC or something in Jeddah, I don’t recommend this.
Quito (SEQM) - Miami (KMIA)
LCO1503’s second keg from Ecuador’s capital to Miami. 3 hours and 30 minutes across varied terrain and with a nice approach into Miami. I do recommend it.
Riga (EVRA) - London (EGGW)
An almost three hour flight from Eastern Europe to the UK. It’s a great plane, a great livery, and a chance to fly in and out of airports you don’t fly often.
Adelaide (YPAD) - Sydney (YSSY)
A 1:40 flight. Not impressive terrain, nothing very surprising, but I do recommend it if you’re expecting ATC in Sydney.
Dublin (EIDW) - Amsterdam (EHAM)
Exactly 1 hour trip on the E190. Lovely departure from Dublin, with a chill approach into empty Schiphol. Very nice flight, I recommend it.
Washington D.C. (KDCA) - Orlando (KMCO)
Two hours in a great plane, a beautiful livery, nice departure and ATC on arrival. Should I really explain?
Chicago (KMDW) - Houston (KHOU)
FNF pre determined route, with two other community members. Great flight!
Santiago (SCEL) - New York (KJFK)
My favourite long haul yet. 9:29 of chill flying on the 787. One of the few flights I’ve done in real life that I’ve done in IF. The approach into JFK from the south is spectacular. It’s relaxing, pretty beautiful, and not too busy. I truly recommend it.
San Francisco (KSFO) - New York (KJFK)
My longest A320 flight to date. 4:30, with tons of different terrain and landscapes. The approach into KJFK was amazing, with ATC and many aircraft. Ended with a beautiful sunset landing. Very recommended.
So, that’s it for 2017. The year with only 2 months of global, but the year that I will never remember had regions.
Happy new year!
