Community Built Device Compatibility List

#24

Maybe we could separate Android and iOS devices.

#25

I think seperating the brands would be better since there is a lot of Android devices out there.

#26

Alright, just added the iPhone X.

#27

Here’s mine

IPhone SE

Device: IPhone SE
Operating system: iOS 11.2.1
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Texture quality: High
Anti-Aliasing: On
Limit framerate: On
Low Power Mode: On
Plane Count: Very High
Notes: Small screen, other than that runs IF perfectly.

#28

Iphone 8

Operating system: IOS 11.2.5
Rendering Quality: High
Texture Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Anti-Aliasing: On
Limit Frame Rate: Off
Airplane Count: Very High

Overall, this phone is a beast just like the X! Only thing this phone doesn’t have is Animoji, A notch, and no home button. (Oh yah, no Face ID)

Notes:

  • Runs perfectly well with everything on high at busy airports.
  • never once had lag!

#29

Can someone update the thread? There are some new devices which haven’t been added yet.

#30

I’m gonna update and reformat some stuff later.

Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017)

Device: Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017)
Operating system: Android 7.0
Rendering Quality: Medium
Rendering Resolution: Medium
Texture quality: Medium
Anti-Aliasing: Off
Limit framerate: Off
Notes: It lags at busy airports but runs great at cruise

#33
Asus Zenfone 3 Max

Device: Zenfone 3 Max
Operating System: Android 7.0 Nougat
Rendering Quality: Medium
Rendering Resolution: High
Texture quality: High
Anti-Aliasing: OFF
Limit framerate: ON ✅
Notes: When on Busy Airport, sometimes i turn the Rendering Quality to Low and the Airplane count too.
The Anti alias is OFF, when i set the Rendering Quality to Medium. Still run Pretty Well too.
You can also set All to the High … But you need to set the Quality of Rendering Low.

Sorry for bad english

#34

Nvidia Shield Tablet K1
Operating system: Android 7
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Texture quality: High
Anti-Aliasing: On
Limit framerate: On
Busy airports may drop a few frames but hardly noticeable.

iPad Pro 12.9 2nd generation, all settings maxed out works and flies like a dream ! Zero issues whatsoever, solid as a rock !

#40

To add-on to the iPad Air 1st Gen, a total device restart before each flight keeps lag to a minimum/nonexistent with all settings at max and limit frame rate on. Also, interesting that IF sounds like it runs better on my iPad Air than on an iPad Air 2. Sort of counterintuitive?

#41

We should, good idea.

#42

If you have submitted already could you please quickly tell me what you have your airplane count set to (Under the ‘Live’ section) and if you ‘Low power mode’ activated. (Under General I believe)

#43
Sony Xperia Z3/ Compact

Device: Sony Xperia Z3 Compact
Operating system: Android 6.1
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Texture quality: High
Anti-Aliasing: On
Limit framerate: On
Airplane count: Very High
Low-power mode: On
Notes: Considering this phone was released in 2014… It is an absolute beast of a small phone, stupid amounts of power in a tiny package. Will lag at a very busy airport (I mean, very busy) and tends to slow at the end of longer flights, but otherwise, flawless.

Kindle Fire HD6

Device: Amazon Kindle fire HD6
Operating system: Amazon Modded Android 5.1.7
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Texture quality: High
Anti-Aliasing: On
Limit framerate: On
Airplane count: Meduim
Low-power mode: On
Notes: Well, bit of an odd one isn’t it? I’m quite possibly the only community member using the kindle… For something that was released many years ago, she still runs amazingly. Had absolutely no issues pre global and managed to get Global running on it, even after Amazon support was killed off 🙁. Will lag at a busy airport, but otherwise amazing!

#45

Very High. I’m the iPad Pro 12.9 in 2015 1st Generation.

#46

I think mine is running IF good enough for a cheap low end device, here it is :

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 MTK

Device : Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 (Mediatek version) with the 4GB RAM version
Operating system : Android 6.0
Rendering Quality : High
Rendering Resolution : High
Texture quality : High
Anti-Aliasing : Off
Limit framerate : On
Airplane Count : High or Medium
Low Power Mode : Either both doesn’t matter
Notes : It lags only when internet connection is bad. for long haul must be attached to charger all the time because battery drains really fast, even low power mode is not having too much difference.

#47

ASUS ZenPad 8.0 @Shrek1

#48

Works well but in crowded airports you must reduce plane count.

#49

Device:HTC 10
Software:Android 8.0 Oreo
Rendering Quality:High
Rendering Resolution:High
Texture Quality:High
Airplane Count: Very high
Anti aliasing:On
Low power mode:Off
Notes:Very laggy if your internet connection are slow
