Who are we?

We are Flying Development Studio LLC (“FDS”, “Infinite Flight”, “we,” “our,” “us”). We recognise that you care how information about you is collected and used and have created this privacy policy to inform you of our practices regarding collection, use, and sharing of information.

The practices described in this privacy policy apply to information gathered through our web-based services, specifically our community forums (“community.infinite-flight.com”), collectively “Services”, and do not reflect our practices with respect to information gathered through offline means or through our other services (specifically our Game, Infinite Flight, or our website).

This privacy policy will be published in English. If this privacy policy is published in any language other than English, the English language version will be the governing agreement and shall control interpretation of all matters discussed below.

Your use of our Services also constitutes agreement to our Services’ host’s privacy policies, specifically that of CDCK, hosts of “community.infinite-flight.com”.

What information do we hold about you?

We collect information from you when you register on our site and gather data when you participate through our Services by reading, writing, and evaluating the content shared.

Your personal information

When registering on our Services, you may be asked to enter your name and email address. You may, however, visit our Services without registering. Your email address will be verified by an email containing a unique link. If that link is visited, we know that you control the email address. This information is used for the purpose of identification and verification.

IP Address

When registered and posting, we record the IP address that the post originated from. We also may retain server logs which include the IP address of every request to our server. This is for the purpose of identification and for the prevention and detection of spam and fraud.

How do we use this information?

We use your information to provide our services. This is to:

  • To personalize your experience — your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs.

  • To improve our site — we continually strive to improve our site offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you.

  • To improve customer service — your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs.

  • To send periodic emails — The email address you provide may be used to send you information, notifications that you request about changes to topics or in response to your user name, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions.

Do we use cookies?

Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow). These cookies enable the site to recognize your browser and, if you have a registered account, associate it with your registered account.

We use cookies to understand and save your preferences for future visits and compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future. Who do we share your information with?

At any time whilst your account is active, your information may be shared with:

  • Our employees (either within FDS, a parent or subsidiary company) and contractors who may require access to perform their jobs.

  • Our community moderators in order to perform their duties.

  • Business partners we use to provide our services, including CDCK and other software-as-a-service providers.

  • Anyone who you give us explicit permission to share it with.

We’ll also share it to comply with the law; to enforce our Terms and Conditions or other agreements; or to protect the rights, property or safety of us, our customers or others. Non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

How long do we keep your data for?

We keep the majority of your data until your account is terminated. However, some data is only stored temporarily:

  • We retain server logs containing the IP address of all requests to this server no more than 90 days.

  • We retain the IP addresses associated with registered users and their posts no more than 5 years.

What are your rights?

  • Request access to all personal data about you we store.

  • Request for us to update your personal information.

  • Request data deletion. Note this will result in the termination of your account.

  • Request termination of processing. This would require the termination of your account and the subsequent deletion of your personally identifiable data.

Where do we store your data?

Your data is stored in the United States, although it may be processed by our employees or our suppliers in other areas including within the European Economic Area (‘EEA’). We may share data with organisations and countries that:

  • The European Commission say have adequate data protection.

  • We’ve agreed standard data protection clauses with.

Third party links

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or link to third party products or services in our Services. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

Our Services are directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older. If you are under the age of 13, per the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act), you are not permitted to use the Services or any other FDS service.

Does FDS comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation?

FDS respects privacy rights under Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Your rights are outlined in the above section, “What are your rights?”, specifically relating to access, rectification, erasure and data portability.
